Google recently announced that the Android system would introduce a virtual caller-testing function to prevent identity fraud by AI in depth. This feature will be rolled out this month to all Android 12 and above Phone by Google equipment, starting with Pixel equipment.
As people become more alert to strange calls, the outlaws are changing their tactics to mimic institutional and family voices by forging telephone numbers and using artificial intelligence-deep forgery techniques. For example, you may have received a call that appears to be “Mom” and it sounds exactly the same, but it was actually forged by the outlaws through AI. The new function is started by default and is automatically running backstage.
Google explains that this new function works like a “digital handshake between equipment”. When contacts call and when both parties use Google telephone services, the other hand is given the opportunity to send a silent confirmation signal to the receiver ‘ s device to verify the authenticity of the call and whether the call originated from his/her equipment.
Google says, “If the fraudster tries to act as your trusted contact, the initial confirmation signal will be missing. Your equipment will immediately take note of this and will volunteer to issue a double confirmation to the contact’s equipment. If the device responds `I am not on the phone now’, you will receive a warning on your screen that you should hang up immediately.” Google noted that the feature was built on RCS and could be used by other applications and companies.
In addition to the virtual call detection function, Andrey has brought with it other updates, including a new Google photo feature, which allows for virtual refitting and trial wear. This new feature, known as “the closet”, is classified by converting the clothes that users in the albums wear into snapshots that can be viewed. The functionality will be rolled out to eligible Android 10+ users in the United States, India and Brazil next week.
In addition, Google Play will add a “Quick Review” to the book that allows users to quickly view the storylines and continue to read them easily. Users can also highlight paragraphs and ask questions. The above functions will be rolled out to some English books as of this date.
Google also enables its “circle search” function to search for packages. Users are able to find all the individual items in the mix once and for all without having to search them individually. This update is now applicable to all Android 14+ devices that support the circle search.
