The hard-core evacuation shooting game Escape from Tarkov, which officially landed on November 15, with the launch of version 1.0, immediately faced a number of technical failures, leaving players with negative ratings in Steam, and the overall evaluation is now “mostly negative”.

In the face of the start of chaos, the developer Battlegate Games urgently announces that the following day, both downloads, authentications, servers and errors in the game will need to be repaired on an ongoing basis and that the forthcoming compensation will be provided.

Battlessate states that since Steam was launched in sync with the official version, players have encountered:

  • Download failed, installation interrupted (BSG Launcher / Steam)

  • Server authentication anomaly

  • Error 228 triggered when interacting with businessmen

  • Game freeze when entering task or interface

  • Could not load level after changing language

On November 16, the development team launched a technical update to repair the error of interaction with Jaeger traders, the problem of low-resolution trophies, the failure to include language-induced teaching tasks, and the failure of the bug, which, after interacting with businessmen, led to the death of client cards. The current public amendment project is not the full list of issues, and the unlisted Bug will be added to the follow-up patch.

Battrate Boss and Director of Escape Takov, Nikita Buyanov, revealed that the team had prepared a new server to land in Steam, but that the official website was 10 times as accessible as expected, and that the authentication server and the starter were carrying four times the load and the system was completely overloaded.

However, the problem has yet to be fully ruled out, and the official update of the community information on 17 January to show that the repairs are still ongoing and to thank the players again for their patience in the early stages of the chaos.

The team started by expanding the server and network infrastructure to respond to the surge in player demand following the opening of the service, with the aim of reducing the current long matching time.

Some players are unable to start the game by opening NVIDIA Smooth Motion, and the developer indicates that the problem has been detected and suggests that the player closes the function to ensure proper functioning.

In response to the trouble caused by the market disruption, all players will receive compensation (received in the game) including the Bear Classic suite, the USEC Night Patrol suite and the official offer of an alternative additional incentive if the player has purchased it.

In addition to a series of technical repairs, Escape from Takov 17 days quietly introduced a major game change: players will be able to place medical supplies in safes (commonly known as Poach) and change the basic design that used medical supplies had to carry at risk to make the game more loose.

The change came from the X vote initiated by Nikita Buyanov, “Can medical supplies go into the safe: Yes or No? The government responded with a quick response to the player’s opinion, and was present on the same day.

Escape from Tuckf has since 2016 built up the status of a large player community and PvPvE exit-shooting game, but this official edition has not worked well with Steam’s listing, and technical problems have made it impossible for a large number of players to play properly, and the return to stability is still waiting for official revisions in a few weeks.
